2011 World Championships Sees AIBA’s Most Successful Media Distribution in Event History

The 2011 edition of the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan saw the world governing body of boxing achieve most successful Television and new media coverage in event history, with TSA, AIBA’s media rights distribution partner, achieving an impressive number of deals and reaching households in over 160 territories.

The support shown by broadcasters worldwide is a huge boost for the body and its direction and vision for the sport.

The broadcasters of the World Championships included Al Jazeera in the Middle East, BBC Sport and gbsport.tv in the UK, TyC Sports in Argentina, TVC Deportes in Mexico, Ten Sports and Neo Sports in India, Nippon TV and TV Asahi in Japan, Setanta Africa, Sportsnet in Canada, BoxNation, the new boxing platform by Frank Warren, Esporte Interativo and ESPN in Brazil, RTR in Russia, Sportitalia in Italy, CCTV in China, Kazakhstan National TV, Sportklub in Croatia and many more.

It was shown on more than 20 other platforms around the world making it available in more than 934 million homes, AIBA estimates.

AIBA also sanctions the Continental Olympic Qualifying events in 2012, which TSA will distribute.

TSA secures Allianz as first ever Title Sponsor of the Penang Bridge International Marathon

In its 27th edition, the Penang Bridge International Marathon will see its first ever Title Sponsor with Allianz Malaysia. TSA brings Nirmal Lifestyle and International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) together

Total Sports Asia Brings Dublin Super Cup to Asia

“TSA signs a deal with Endemol Sport to distribute broadcast rights of inaugural tournament to Asian markets”

Sports marketing specialist, Total Sports Asia, has struck a deal to distribute broadcast for the Dublin Super Cup, held for the first time on 30th and 31st July.

The new pre-season soccer tournament in Ireland will feature the first teams of English Premier League club Manchester City and Italian giants Internazionale Milan, both appearing at the Aviva Stadium alongside Scotland's Celtic and a League of Ireland XI.

The deal was reached with tournament organiser Endemol Sport, the UK-based sports media business, which is part of world leading entertainment production company Endemol.

Executive Vice President of Media for Total Sports Asia, Julian Jackson said: “We are thrilled to be associated with a new event like the Dublin Super Cup and we are delighted with the line-up that the tournament has guaranteed.”

He added: “This is great football content and Asian viewers will be as eager as the rest of the world to preview the newest signings, team dynamics and vaunted strike forces that clubs painstakingly put together before the start of a brand new season.”

The deal with Total Sport follows the recent announcements that Endemol Sport have entered into three year partnerships for The Dublin Super Cup with Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland, Fox Soccer for Northern America and the Caribbean and SuperSport Africa for Sub- Sahara Africa.

The 2011 Dublin Super Cup broadcast in over 130 territories across Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Americas.

Badminton World Federation Super Series 2011 licensed exclusively to One World Sports for U.S Television

DALLAS and KUALA LAMPUR - March 28th, 2011 - One World Sports has secured the exclusive U.S television rights to the OSIM Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Superseries 2011. According to the terms of an agreement with Total Sports Asia, the BWF's exclusive media and marketing partner, One World Sports will present all 2011 tournaments in English on television, as well as on broadband and mobile.

The BWF World Superseries launched a two-tier series circuit in 2010. This year's 12 tournaments will include both the Premier Series and the Superseries. The total prize money in 2011 is $4,250,000 and the successful players will qualify for the Superseries Final held this December. One World Sports secure exclusive U.S Television rights for International Table Tennis 2011 Pro Tour

Kuala Lumpur and Dallas- March 25th - One World Sports has secured the exclusive U.S television rights to the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) 2011 Pro Tour due to an agreement signed with Total Sports Asia, the ITTF's exclusive media and marketing partner.

In addition to the 18 ITTF events, the agreement also includes a 13 episode ITTF Magazine show. One World Sports will present the 2011 ITTF Pro Tour and the ITTF Highlights programme in English, available on television, broadband and mobile.

The ITTF Pro Tour is a global competition with 18 international events. The world elite players will all be looking to gain enough points to qualify for the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals from November 24th to 27th. The total prize money for the ITTF 2011 Pro Tour is an impressive $2,663,000.

Dinos Come Alive For Students From Myanmar

Kuala Lumpur- It was a day to remember for a group of Myanmar refugee students who visited the Dinos Alive exhibit at the National Science Center recently.

The event was sponsored by leading sports marketing agency Total Sports Asia which sponsored 100 students from ages four to 12 years. The children found the trip to pre-historic times so lifelike that some of the younger ones had to be reassured that the dinosaurs were not real with the loud sounds that were emanating from them.

It was a memorable experience for the students as many of them did not know about dinosaurs and never learned about them back home in Myanmar. They were amazed by the various species of dinosaurs and learned many new facts about them at the exhibit.

“It was interesting to see the children awed by something we probably take for granted. They didn’t have the privilege of growing up with stories of dinosaurs or even owning dinosaur toys. This exhibit has opened up a whole new world for them,” said Belle Lee, a volunteer teacher at the school.

Most refugee children in Malaysia attend informal schools across the city, which are recognized by UNHCR and supported by private groups and individuals. Dinos Alive will be held at the National Science Center until May 31st 2011. Ticket prices for adults are RM 10, kids below 17 years old are RM 5, Students with Student IDs are RM 5 and the family package costs RM 25 (2 adults+2 kids). Pusat Sains Negara is located in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

Total Sports Asia Increases Broadcast Production Output

The month of January brought a significant new milestone for Total Sports Asia (TSA) in the area of broadcast production.
