Yash Raj Films Partners ICE To Launch Smartphones And Tablets Under DHOOM:3 Brand

D:3 first movie franchise in the world to launch tablets and complete range of gadgets

16th November, Mumbai. In a first of its kind consumer market initiative, Yash Raj Films (YRF) today announced its partnership license with ICE X Electronics to launch Dhoom:3 (D:3) branded smart devices. This makes D:3 the first movie in the world to have its own tablet, smartphone and other accessories. The ICE line of unique D:3 devices, inspired by the movie’s emphasis on speed and quick response, will appeal to D:3 fans everywhere.

The Dhoom films produced by YRF have generated a huge fan following since the release in India of the first film in 2004. The Dhoom franchise has grown in stature over the years, and on December 20 the third film in the series, Dhoom:3, is set to open across India and around the world. Starring Aamir Khan as The Clown Thief, D:3 is Bollywood’s most anticipated movie of all time. Fans desiring to have something associated with the D:3 experience is what led ICE to develop some amazing merchandise.

ICE will manufacture and play a key role in designing and launching D:3 smart devices which will be offered both online and offline. The D:3 product line is anticipated to be available for purchase beginning later this month. Having a strong foot-hold and expertise in Android based devices, ICE has launched many devices in the Indian market catering to mass audiences in the past. Under D:3 branding, ICE will launch many variants from 4 to 7 inch size smartphones and calling tablets. GLORY 13 Is Heading Back To Tokyo

New York, NY – GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, proudly announces its final event of the calendar year, Glory 13, featuring a televised one-night, Welterweight World Championship Tournament, taking place at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, December 21st.

GLORY’s Welterweight World Championship Tournament will feature the top-ranked kickboxers at 77kg/170lb, including GLORY’s #1 Ranked Welterweight fighter, Nieky Holzken (82-11-0, 43 KOs) of the Netherlands.

To emerge as the GLORY Champion, given the 4-man tournament structure, a combatant will need to fight and win two bouts in the same night.

While the Welterweight World Championship Tournament will be a focal point of the night, other headline fights will be featured alongside a taping of the GLORY SuperFights Series. Local undercard fights are still to be announced. GLORY has conducted two other events in Japan in its two-year history and crowned a Heavyweight World Champion, Semmy Schilt at Glory 4, and Featherweight World Champion Yuta Kubo at Glory 8.

Team Golf League Make Its Debut In Malaysia In 2013

TSA - Team Golf LeagueTeam Golf League started in 2010 as Touché Golf Gangwars in Bangalore, India. It was conceptualized and managed by Touché Golf – a golf management company based out of Bangalore, India. Mr Rathan Kumar, Managing Director Touché Golf and his fellow Directors came up with the idea when they noticed that golfers more often than not played their rounds with the same group of friends week in and week out. They wondered which group would win if they competed against each other – and TGL was born! Realizing that each group or gang’s composition was different, they came up with a novel idea to level the playing field. They pre-allotted a handicap index total to all gangs and now it became the gang’s responsibility to combine their golfers in such a manner as to add up as close to that number. It was a genius move and the golfers took to it like a dry throat to water! It started off with 336 participants in Bangalore only; quickly growing to 1500 participants across 4 zones in 2011 and 1650 participants from 7 cities across India in 2012! With the successful conclusion of the 2012 edition, the powers that be at Touché Golf decided to further expand the TGL concept to foreign shores. They tied up with Total Sports Asia and drew up a strategy to enter South East Asia. They knocked on the doors of the golfers of Singapore and Malaysia and that’s where we are at now.

The Malaysia edition took place at Templer Park Country Club with the qualification rounds taking place on 21st & 22nd August 2013 and the National finals just got concluded on 29th August 2013. There were a total of 360 participants representing 36 gangs. The concept was new but well received. It was serious, pure golf and the golfers loved it! With the conclusion of the qualifying rounds, there were 3 gangs that were left standing – Elite, Up5 Golfers and MyGolf Team 2. They had played their heart out and rightfully earned their spot in the National Finals. The finals itself was very closely contested, but like any competition there has to be a winner and they were UP5 GOLFERS who won the championship with 14 out of the maximum possible 16 total points. Team Elite finished second with 8.5 points and MyGolf Team 2 rounded it off with 1.5 points.

Up5 Golfers and Team Elite had a hard fought day with Elite starting strong. Up5 Golfers came back really strong through the middle and lower seeds to clinch the championship. They played some exceptional golfer, especially their lower seeds to pull this one through. It was a team effort with every member bringing in at least 1 point and they were deserving winners.

TGL itself was initially met with a mixed response, mainly due to the unknown factors – A company from India running a golf tournament in Singapore, without charging an entry fee and offering golfers free apparel, food and multiple rounds of golf …….Impossible some said. It was possible and it did happen. The golfers loved it and their feedback was very positive. Some feedback -

All in all TGL 2013 Singapore was a runaway success with everyone involved appreciating the format. The golf course was setup brilliantly and the golfers loved every minute of their time participating in it.

FA gulps down Big Cola Extension thanks to TSA Deal

18th June 2013 – The English Football Association has sealed a two-year extension to its partnership with Big Cola, the flagship brand of the multinational beverage company AJE.

The contract will include the FA’s 150th anniversary year and the remainder of the national team’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

In addition to being an official partner to the England team in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Laos and Cambodia, Big Cola has now extended the rights to include Malaysia and Myanmar.

The FA’s global head of business development, Sean McAuliffe, said: “Asia is a market of increasing importance for us and working on partnerships with brands like Big Cola increases our presence in the region and is a great avenue for our Asian fans to support the team.”

Whilst the Big Cola England national team promotion will start towards the end of 2013, Big Cola is currently focusing on social media promotions and working closely with the FA to increase fan engagement across digital and mobile channels in each market.

2013 YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic

Kuala Lumpur, 31st May 2013 – YHA and YKK (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has once again chosen to collaborate with the most valuable football club in the world, Real Madrid, for its latest edition of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since 2007, the YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic CSR project—which focuses on providing a fun and valuable experience for underprivileged children—has been organized across Asia. This includes Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. The resounding success of the YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic over the years has encouraged YHA to continue the project in even more locations within Asia.

From 31st May to 2nd June 2013, 30 local coaches and 250 kids—most of whom are from orphanages or underprivileged homes—had the opportunity to meet and play with coaches from Real Madrid Foundation, the CSR arm of Spain’s largest football club, Real Madrid FC. In working with Real Madrid, YKK hopes to bring a once in a lifetime experience into the lives of underprivileged children in Malaysia.

Real Madrid Foundation coaches Pablo Gomez Revenga, Javier Garcia Torres and Ivan Garcia Sacristan first shared the club’s training methodology and techniques with local coaches on Friday afternoon, 2.30-5.30pm. Once the Malaysian coaches have been trained, they assisted Real Madrid to conduct four clinics for 250 kids on 1st and 2nd June, 8 – 11am and 2 – 5pm each day hosted by the PKNS Football Club.

YHA made this an annual event as it values the importance of constantly contributing to the society.

"It is important for YKK to contribute and work with local community. I believe that this event is a great opportunity for the children in the region to both experience enjoyment through sport, as well as develop their love for sport. We want to support their growth through this football event,” said the President and CEO of YHA, Mr. Ken Nakano.

Having run clinics around the world, the Real Madrid Foundation’s coaching team has brought their world-class techniques to thousands of children. Language and cultural differences are no barriers for Pablo Gomez and his coaching team as football is a global language. The smiles on the children’s faces are the most rewarding result from their coaching activities. Pablo hinted that his team is looking forward to YKK bringing them to Malaysia.

“We have been part of this project since 2012 and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the warm Asian hospitality. We have also realized that there is a huge support for Real Madrid as a club in and around Asia and this will be great opportunity for us to reach out to the community yet again” the Project’s Head Coach explained.

Each participant in the clinics received a full YKK/Real Madrid Foundation kit/shoes. Furthermore, YKK donated all the footballs from the event to the participant communities. This will provide continuity of YKK CSR program and encourage children across the Klang Valley to dream and play for years to come.

This newly created global role looks to the future growth opportunities for TSA where the role is to find new ways to access new revenue streams across all the services the company offers.

TSA has a phenomenal track record over the past 16 years and its goals are now firmly set on incremental business growth going forward. In addition to revenue acquisition, the role will also support Marcus Luer, TSA’s Chief Executive Officer, on follow up work on new projects across the region and globally.

Owen joins the company with a 25 year track record of agency, client and media owner experience spanning the globe and many industry sectors. He has worked in senior roles at a host of Advertising and Marketing agencies and has also worked in various fields including Tourism as the Chief Marketing Officer of South African Tourism where he created and hosted sporting activities in South Africa and then spent several years launching and managing A1GP World Cup of Motorsport teams and events in South East Asia.

Badminton Europe choose Total Sports Asia

Owen LeedKuala Lumpur, 23 January 2013 - Badminton Europe, the governing body of badminton in Europe, who recently issued a tender for its media rights, have chosen Total Sports Asia (TSA), to distribute the international TV rights to its events for the cycle 2013-2016. The events include the European Championships, European Mixed Team Championships, European Men’s and Women’s Team Championships as well as the European Club Championships.

Badminton Europe are looking for a much wider exposure of their events around the world and chose to appoint TSA, who have a long history in the sport of badminton as the media partner of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) since 2005 as well as organiser and distributor of the prestigious Axiata Cup.

Branded Real Estate Workshop Held in Beijing

China Real-Estate Managers Union (CRMU) and its academic committee held a workshop on ‘Future of Branded Real Estate --- Worldwide Trends Made Relevant to China’ on January 23rd, 2013. Over 30 representatives from CRMU, universities and TSA gathered in Beijing to discuss whether China’s real estate industry can benefit from brand authorization. Marcus Luer, Group CEO of TSA, and Suvrangsu Mukherjee, Managing Director of India region, addressed on the workshop.

As competition intensifies in China’s real estate market, the absence of brand consciousness has led to severe homogeneity among properties. Thus, CRMU has invited experts from TSA to share their knowledge in brand marketing in global real estate market. The workshop attaches great importance to the management of successful projects for branded real estate, including Michael Schumacher World Towers, Ace by Sharapova, US Open Apartments, Space Marveled by Swarovski, etc. According to Mr. Luer, the high value of global brands, either sport celebrities or lifestyle brands, can be passed on to the real estate properties via strategic licensing arrangements which also bring comparative advantages and additional revenue.

Managers from China’s real estate enterprises such as Homeyear, Vanke, Forteland and Gemdale, express their interests in this trend of development. Previous selling points (i.e. positioning, pricing, designs and facilities) can no longer meet the rising demand for today, and they’re trying to create new edge over the sever competition. Dr. Zhou, Chairman of CRMU, says that the high value of global brand can not only promote the construction of city landmark, but also attract higher standard merchants and consumers by creating unique market barriers. Mr. Chen from Homeyear Ltd. mentions that branded real estate is much more than simply licensing or authorizing. It is critical to establish and encourage a new lifestyle through management which consists with the culture of brands or attributes of celebrities.
