We helped YKK Holding Asia (YHA) and YKK (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to partner with Real Madrid Foundation for their latest CSR Campaign, called 2013 YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic, to support healthy growth of children through sports. YHA and YKK Malaysia not only provided each lucky child with a cool football set inclusive of jersey, shorts, socks and a cap but also gave them the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train and learn from coaches of the world’s most valuable Football Club, Real Madrid!
We gathered 30 Malaysian coaches and almost 300 kids between the ages of 8 – 14, mostly made up of orphans and underprivileged children, to be introduced to the football philosophies of Real Madrid. Of course both coach and student alike will have improved their on-pitch football and social skills - such as team spirit and respect - at the same time. But the final result for all was YHA and YKK providing an afternoon of fun and new friends through football.
Training with the coaches Pablo Gomez Revenga, Javier Garcia Torres and Ivan Garcia Sacristan put a big smile on the kids’ faces. The privilege to train with Real Madrid Foundation coaches on the pitch of Malaysian Superleague team PKNS FC and receiving a brand-new high quality football kit from YKK was an unbelievable experience for the kids which most of them will probably never forget.

TSA worked with Visa to identify and sign on five athletes from SEA for Team Visa - Malaysia’s top track cyclist Azizul Awang; Singapore’s swimming sensation Tao Li , Indonesia’s world no. 11 men’s doubles badminton players, Hendra Setiawan and Markis Kido, as well as Vietnam’s judo exponent, Van Ngoc Tu.
As a lead up to the Games, these athletes will be featured extensively in Visa’s advertising and PR campaigns as well as receive support for their bid to win an Olympic Games medal.
Other famous Team Visa athletes include the most be-medalled athlete of the Olympic Games in modern times, American swimmer Michael Phelps, Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbaeva, American gymnast Nastia Liukin and China’s tennis ace, Li Na.

To help Dua Kelinci kick off the Real Madrid sponsorship in Indonesia, TSA brokered a deal for football legend Luis Figo to support the launch. Dua Kelinci created an exciting on-ground consumer promotion event called “Indonesia Kicks for Goal” in an effort to encourage the people of Indonesia to support the growth of football and purchase Dua Kelinci peanuts.
The consumer promotional event saw 20,000 excited Real Madrid/Luis Figo fans participate—all of them having purchased Dua Kelinci products as the buy-in. After the launch event, Luis also taped a TVC which Dua Kelinci ran for 1 year to maintain momentum for their Real Madrid sponsorship activation.

The Hyundai Football World Championships started in 2002 as part of an initiative to promote the Hyundai Motor Company as the Official Automotive Partner for the FIFA World Cup. Hyundai wanted to leverage their association with FIFA in SE Asia and portray their international brand as promoting “spirited competition, uniting nations and players” through an exciting & compelling grass-roots football tournament. Hyundai engaged TSA to manage their Regional Final in Malaysia.
Events were based on a 5-a-side amateur football tournament with local rounds culminating in National Finals in participating countries, from which winning teams then competed in a Regional Final. The winner of the Regional Final received an all-expenses paid trip to watch a FIFA event and represent Asia in the Hyundai World Football Championship.
Due to the success of the 2004 & 2006 events; TSA was appointed as the preferred sports marketing agency to organize future events for Hyundai in the Asian region.

The partnership, brokered by Total Sports Asia, is exclusive to Singapore and Malaysia. The deal encompasses a wide range of benefits and assets including the use of IP, online presence, access to hospitality and tickets and the opportunity for the retailer to produce a range of Liverpool FC-licensed merchandise.
Team Golf League started in 2010 as Touché Golf Gangwars in Bangalore, India. It was conceptualized and managed by Touché Golf – a golf management company based out of Bangalore, India. Mr Rathan Kumar, Managing Director Touché Golf and his fellow Directors came up with the idea when they noticed that golfers more often than not played their rounds with the same group of friends week in and week out. They wondered which group would win if they competed against each other – and TGL was born! Realizing that each group or gang’s composition was different, they came up with a novel idea to level the playing field.
TGL started off with 336 participants in Bangalore only; quickly growing to 1500 participants across 4 zones in 2011 and 1650 participants from 7 cities across India in 2012! With the successful conclusion of the 2012 edition, the powers that be at Touché Golf decided to further expand the TGL concept to foreign shores. They tied up with Total Sports Asia and drew up a strategy to enter South East Asia.
The Malaysia edition took place at Templer Park Country Club where TSA worked with Old Smokehouse to implement the events. There were a total of 360 participants representing 36 gangs. The concept was new but well received. It was serious, pure golf and the golfers loved it!
All in all TGL 2013 Singapore was a runaway success with everyone involved appreciating the format. TSA worked with Champions Golf to organize the event in this market with 30 gangs (300 players) participating. The host golf course, Raffles Golf & Country Club, was setup brilliantly and the golfers loved every minute of their time participating in it.

The Dinos Alive! World Tour has been created to provide people of all ages with a once in a lifetime, magical dinosaur exhibition experience.
A Dinos Alive! World Tour exhibition is based on an edutainment walk-through theme park concept combining both educational activities as well as fun-filled entertainment for the whole family. A show comprises of thirty-two roaring, snarling dinosaurs mesmerize a local audience, and are as awe-inspiring as when they first roamed the Earth and two life-size skeleton displays.
The stars of the show include; four Tyrannosaurus, a Megalosaurus, numerous Raptors and the largest dinosaurs is a spectacular Apatosaurus standing 7.5m (21ft) and 21m (69ft) in length.
The Allianz Jakarta Heart Run 10K 2012 saw its first ever Title Sponsor in Allianz Indonesia. The partnership was brokered by Total Sports Asia and brought around 10,000 local and international running enthusiasts together in order to participate in the health-promoting event.
TSA worked with Allianz Indonesia to seek the appropriate event that Allianz could engage with—eventually brokering a relationship with the Jakarta Heart Run (AJHR) 10K. As an extension of this partnership and to increase the outreach of the campaign, TSA worked with Allianz to create the Allianz Virtual Run (AVR) activation.
The AVR is a mobile/digital mechanism which allows runners to compete against each other no matter where/when they run. The AVR was held during the lead-up to the race and also acted as a mechanism to help runners to prepare for running the 10k distance. For beginners and advanced runners alike, Allianz created a new and dynamic way for them to compete not only on the day of the race but for weeks prior to that (and in theory, also any time in the future).
The Allianz Virtual Run aimed at building a virtual running community that could be activated at any given time. This promotes a healthy lifestyle by encouraging participants to run anywhere anytime and interact with their peers.
In its 27th edition, the Allianz Penang Bridge International Marathon saw Allianz coming on board as its first-ever Title Sponsor. As one of the world’s leading insurance companies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Allianz aims to promote healthy living amongst Malaysians through the participation of sporting events such as the marathon. The 1-year partnership was brokered by Total Sports Asia, which also included the task of providing event day sponsorship activation for Allianz at the marathon.
The marathon, which attracted 27,500 participants, made history on November 20, 2011, by racing into the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest marathon in the country. Since the inauguration of the Penang Bridge in 1985, the annual Penang Bridge International Marathon has become Penang’s signature event which brings runners from all over the world, be it amateur or professional to the “Pearl of the Orient”. In conjunction with the marathon, Allianz launched various activities prior and during the event for the benefit of the runners who have registered to take part in the marathon.
One of the pre-event activities planned included the sharing of running tips on the Allianz Malaysia Facebook page by former international Malaysian runner and Allianz employee, Muniandy Ramadass. Muniandy who has been with Allianz for more than 15 years is a sponsored runner for Allianz and has emerged as a top runner notably during the 2011 Borneo International Marathon and the 2011 Standard Chartered KL Marathon. As one of the country’s top Marathon runners, Muniandy came in second in the Men's Malaysian Open full marathon category, much to the delight of all Allianz employees who were cheering him on. Collectively, more than 700 runners from Allianz Malaysia, mainly employees, agents, business partners and their families participated in the Allianz Penang Bridge International Marathon.
On the day of the marathon, Allianz provided a host of activities for runners at the event. This included complimentary leg massages for Full and Half marathon runner at the Allianz booth, photo opportunities for runners to be snapped against a magazine cover and free bananas and bottled water to all marathon runners. The leg massages and giveaways proved to be an instant hit with the runners and Allianz volunteers were busy handing out the goodies all morning at the Allianz booth.

Thwack held their global brand launch in Singapore over 2 days at the end of June. To kick things off, a press conference was held on June 29th which was attended by local and foreign media from Asia and Europe. This was followed by a gala dinner at the Padang Ballroom of the Raffles City Convention Centre, Fairmont Singapore. More than a 100 specially-invited guests attended the dinner, comprising of foreign media, potential distributors and existing business partners of the One Group who were flown in for the event as well as members of the local fitness and mixed martial arts community. The next day, a badminton training clinic with world champion Xiong Guobao was conducted at the Sengkang Sports and Recreation Centre where participants got to test out the much talked about Thwack badminton racquet, with its unique, one-of-a-kind grip.
TSA was involved in planning the Thwack launch right from the get go. TSA worked collaboratively with the team at One Sports to conceptualise, plan and execute this 2-day launch event in Singapore for Thwack. This included finalising the location and many requirements of the event, liaising with different vendors involved, planning out the programme rundown, identifying and working with the talents involved from emcee Allan Wu to the Muay Thai fighters, Arnis performers and percussion troupe, coordinating arrivals and ensuring that all guests were well taken care of during their stay at the Fairmont Singapore. The TSA team ran a tight ship and every guest left happy. Needless to say, we had very happy clients as well.

TSA was on hand to manage the nation's 1st ever 1 MALAYSIA RUN on KL's newest highway DUKE called the Dukethon. A 5km run for all ages and even a specially created category for the handicapped. The Run was officiated by the Minister of Works, Y.B. Dato’ Shaziman b. Abu Mansor and proved one of the most successful 1 Malaysia event in KL.
